Formwork Construction For Concreting
Steel Fixing
Every job will have steel reinforcement specifications and this can mean some jobs require a large amount, such as post tension slabs for large thick concrete slabs or very little for a driveway in comparison.
In any case having worked in both large and small areas, having a good understanding will mean the job meets its specifications and moves more efficiently.
Slab Extensions
Extending a slab on an existing dwelling requires plans, permits and egineered drawings. Solid foundations and pinning into existing structure will shore up the slab and dwelling as one.
Footings & Pier Holes
Pier holes are poured before the main slab and in areas where the ground/soil is more unstable which will add support for the very slab it will hold in place.
Footings are an ideal base for brick work and paving. Some footings contain steel reinforcements and others don’t but it’s main purpose is to support a heavy weight bearing structure.
